To Mend a Broken Web
Written & Illustrated by Maia Heissler

To Mend a Broken Web is a tale of courage and hope, with appeal for all ages.

The Web. The beautiful, though fragile, delicately woven Web of Life has been broken. Broken by people in high places, and by people who will not see. To the bottom of his heart, to the depths of his soul, twelve-year-old Caleb feels the pain and the suffering of a land he has grown to cherish. Although he would love to flee from this nightmare, he knows he must stay to speak, to act, for those who have no voice. With Caleb's child-wisdom, tiny Tago's guidance, and their combined strengths, the boy and the Forest Friend elder lead the way to a powerful solution.

Wild Things for the Soul
Written & Illustrated by Maia Heissler

"Wild Things For The Soul" takes the random, unsculpted beauty of nature and makes it deep, personal, and extraordinarily meaningful when seen through the creative eyes of author Maia Heissler. More than a how-to, more than a collection of reflective essays and experiences, this book yields unique insights on the infinite ways nature can be a playground and a "soulground" for us all. It helps us celebrate, in natural ways, bonds with nature that only someone with true inner wisdom can offer.

"Enlightened Eating - Nourishment for Body and Soul"
Caroline Marie Dupont (2006)

Maia is delighted, honoured, humbled, and in awe that some of her Lifestone messages have been quoted in Enlightened Eating: Nourishment for Body and Soul.  As much as philosophy of food and eating as a collection of wonderful recipes, this thought-provoking cookbook by Caroline Dupont will make you take a whole new look at how you nourish yourself.

The set of 18 Lifestones has doubled!!!

The symbols and their messages are now available as a set of 36 "Wisdom of Nature" cards.

Here are a couple of excerpts from the
 accompanying flyer:

THE FOREST FRIEND LIFESTONES symbols evolved out of a way of thinking, creating, and living that draws its inspiration from the earth. Both in their original form (stones with symbols) and as The Wisdom of Nature cards, they are intended to be used for focus, direction, and nurturing of spirit. The sun's rays, focused through a lens, have the power to burn; for us, too, there is power in focus. When one is scattered or confused, it may be helpful to choose a card and reflect on its meaning. The set serves as a reminder of lessons and insights to be pondered in the light of one's personality and experience. Nature's messages are simple, wise, powerful, and enduring. They are also universal, transcending cultural, social, and religious differences.

The new set of stones in the velveteen bag will be available by the end of September.
